AUTHORITIES in central Mexico State have found the mutilated bodies of seven men near a shopping mall. Mexico state Attorney General Alfredo Castillo says police and firefighters received a report of a burning vehicle in the town of Metepec and found the mutilated bodies falling out of three oil drums left nearby. Castillo says the victims have not been identified and that a motive in the killings is not yet known. Local media reported yesterday that a message threatening state police was left near the bodies. Castillo declined to comment on the content of the note. Several drug gangs, including La Familia whose base is in neighbouring Michoacan state, have been spreading into Mexico State, which surrounds Mexico City, as they wage turf battles.
