Arlington Heights police arrested 11 people after breaking up a gang party at a hotel early Saturday morning, police said. Police arrived at the La Quinta Inn, 1415 W. Dundee Road, at 3:40 a.m. after repeated calls about excessive noise coming from one of the hotel rooms. They found 13 people inside, the lingering smell of burnt cannabis and a large amount of alcohol, said Sgt. Rick Kappelman. Most of the revelers were underage drinking, and all but two admitted their association with the Maniac Latin Kings gang, police said. Two of the group — Larry Vega, 22, of the 0 to 100 block of Birch Trail in Wheeling, and Gilberto Ovalle, 25, 2200 block of West Nichols Road in unincorporated Arlington Heights — were charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor by allegedly supplying the party’s booze. Vega was also charged with possession of cannabis. Angel D. Anorve, 19, also of the 2200 block of West Nichols Road; Salvador Bustamante, 20, of the 0 to 100 block of East Dundee Quarter, Palatine; and Edgar Gonzalez, 19, of the 800 block of East McHenry Road, Wheeling, were charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and underage impairment. Bertin Montesinos, 18, of the 800 block of Colonial Drive, Wheeling; Erick Hernandez, 18, of the 0 to 100 block of Schoenbeck Road, Wheeling; Hackney Chavarria, 20, also of the 2200 block of West Nichols Road; and Vidal Rodriguez, 20, of the 0 to 100 block of Carriage Hill Road, Wheeling, were charged with possession and consumption alcohol by a minor. Tania Gonzalez, 18, also of the 800 block of East McHenry was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor. One 17-year-old juvenile was charged with possession of alcohol. Two other juveniles were not charged. All of the arrestees were given no cash, I-bonds. Vega and Ovalle have a Dec. 23 court date. The others have a Dec. 5 court date.
