Terrance M. Jackson charged with multiple drug and weapon offenses

Arrested Terrance M. Jackson, a 19 year old male who resides in the unit block of Seminole Avenue in Claymont, DE. He has been charged with multiple drug and weapon offenses after he fought with an officer and attempted to remove his weapon from his holster. Jackson was later found to be in possession of over 10 grams of crack cocaine, marijuana and a loaded .32 caliber revolver.
On Sunday afternoon, Corporal John Schlosser received information from a concerned citizen regarding a male subject known as “T” who was riding a bicycle and selling cocaine in the area of Commonwealth Avenue in the community of Overlook Colony. At 7:423 p.m., Schlosser responded to the location and observed the subject riding his bike on W. Brandywine Avenue. He then activated his emergency equipment and attempted to stop the cyclist who immediately tried to outrun the police car.
Having no luck with eluding the officer on the bike, the cyclist attempted to run off, not knowing that Corporal Schlosser is an accomplished long distance runner. Schlosser was able to chase down the subject and tackle him on Philadelphia Pike near Franklin Avenue. The subject then assaulted the officer and attempted to remove the officer’s weapon without success. Two concerned bystanders, who witnessed the chase and subsequent struggle, assisted the officer by holding the subject down as he was handcuffed. The subject was found to be in possession of 10.1 grams of crack cocaine, 1.5 grams of marijuana, and a loaded .32 caliber handgun (with an obliterated serial number).Jackson has been charged with the following offenses: trafficking cocaine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession with the intent to deliver cocaine, attempting to remove a firearm of a law enforcement officer, assault in the second degree on a law enforcement officer, possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, possession of drugs within a school safe zone, possession of a weapon within a school safe zone, resisting arrest with force, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of a weapon with an obliterated serial number, disregarding an officer’s signal, criminal mischief (for damaging the officer’s uniform), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic offenses. He has been arraigned and committed to the Howard Young Prison after failing to post $74,515 secured bail.
